The Wedding Vases |
All vases are authentic and are signed on the bottom by the artist. When you give one of these vases as a wedding or anniversary gift you are not only giving a gift of quality art but also one of symbolic meaning that emphasizes love between two people and their connection through time. |

Turquoise added on any vase for $10 more. If you wish to use a vase for ceremony “Dry Loc” is available at hardware stores. As I understand it, you pour the stuff inside the item, swirl it around, pour out the extra, let it dry, and voila! the vase will hold water (or wine, or…).

Both sides of this vase are shown. Westly Begaye was born in 1965 and is of the Navajo Nation in Arizona. His work is a merging of both the Navajo and Acoma Pueblo cultures. He learned pottery creation in the Acoma tradition of gathering and processing the clay, hand coiling; hand painting with natural paints, and open wood firing. Banded High Loop Wedding Vase by Tom Vail. Horse hair pottery is made by putting the hair directly on the pottery as it comes out of the kiln. It has to be very hot for the hair to create the dark imprints of the carbon smoke on the pottery. The fine lines and patterns are different for each piece thus creating a one of a kind. Much of the horse hair pottery on this site is created by artist Tom Vail.
